I don't supposed this list needs to be lectured about moving plants
internationally and the need for special CITES permits for orchids,
Nepephes, and such like. A year or so ago there was a bit of a
kerfuffle involving Thailand, CITES and their orchid export business.
Not sure of the details, but something like unscrupulous nurseries with
bogus certificates exporting wild origin plants claiming them to be
grown from seed. At one stage it looked as though there was going to be
a ban on international plant trade from that country. Not sure what the
situation is now...

CITES, import /export and phytosanitary certificates are often difficult
and tedious to obtain, even for professiosnal organizations like botanic
gardens. But they are there to protect a number of things.

At least with flasked plants there is little to suspect about he wild
origin of the specimens...
