I mostly use the same mixes as Robert, with a couple of changes:

I've been using pure vermiculite or 50/50 verm./perlite for
all my pings. Since Robert grows outside in good sunlight, he
has much less problem with fungus gnat larvae. In the greenhouse,
I've found that pings in peat quickly get eaten up or rotted, but
will do well in non-organic mixes.

I recently received an H. minor from Geoff Wong, and it was potted in
pure perlite w/live sphagnum topdressing. This mix seems to be working
well. My Darlingtonia are in a similiar mix: 80% perlite/20% peat with
sphagnum top dressing.
