I think I heard that Leo Song was the originator of this nice little
plant that is making the rounds. Peter D. has been chiding him to
name it, but he hasn't done it yet.

Often confused with P. esseriana.

The one you got from me is correctly ID'd as I have seen the flower.

Correct name (from Jan's list) is _Pinguicula ehlersiae_.

Here's a summary of Jan's ID info & what Slack has to say about the two:

Pinguicula ehlersiae
rosette 3.5 cm dia., pale coppery-pink leaves, which roll up
to contrast with pale green background, flowers 2.5 cm wide,
rose purple (reddish-pink) with white throat and lips in one
plane.
Pinguicula esseriana
up to 60 spatulate leaves formally arranged in 2.5 cm dia. rosette,
flowers 2 cm. wide with broadly wedge-shaped lobes of light
whitish pink, or rose-purple graduating to lobelia-violet towards
extremities. Upper lip of petal forms a distinct angle with lower
lip. My plants have a yellowish/green patch on the lower lip of
the petal, just outside the throat.

There is a write up by Chuck Powell, with photos, in an old ICPS newsletter.
This is the best way to see the difference.
