Peter D'Amato claims that the winter leaves, if I recall
correctly, are non-carnivorous, although they are still
succulent and somewhat greasy. He further claimed that one
season of leaves, summer or winter, leaf budded better than the
other. I'm not sure I fully believe this, but it's something
for people to experiment with as the seasons change.
