I have an orchid...

..which was a gift. It has no ID tag, and I know nearly
nothing about orchids. Culture hints would be appreciated.:

It's growing in orchid bark. broad, fairly flat leaves,
about 2" wide, and about 6" long, paddle shaped, quantity
about 4, in a 2 on each side, flat (as opposed to rosetted
or cylindrical) configuration. A single scape, with one
flower. The flower has (uh..) 5 sepals I think, and the
flower itself is the large cup shaped type, as opposed
to the other more exotic types. I.e., the flower is what
most idiots like me think of when we think of an orchid.
The flower is waxy, purple and yellow-ish speckled.

Great description eh? I'd be happy with any general culture
hints to keep it alive. It was a gift, and I have both no
interest and no greenhouse space to grow it in, so it will
have to survive indoors in a house under minimal artifical
light, or at my office by a window, or outdoors in an open
topped fishtank. Thanks for any help.
