All points bulletin:

Any of you who have received from me a plant labelled
_U.juncea_ from Chipola Florida, be advised I am not so sure of its
identity anymore. It may be _U.cornuta_. The scape is lime green (and
the scape of _U.juncea_ tends more towards purplish), and when I
plot the size the the spur/upper lip on the graph published by Kondo
in the _juncea/cornuta_ paper, it falls within the boundaries of
_U.cornuta_. The problem is, Kondo doesn't specify exactly how he measured
the size of the floral parts and so there is some room for interpretation.
I have only one scape on which to work, which is a pity. Last year I had
several, and in spite of the green peduncles, the inflorescences seemed
uncongested enough to warrant the _U.juncea_ ID.

This is a very frustrating plant.
