David: Unfortunately (or really, fortunately), N.Z. has many species of
_Utricularia_, so this is not a trivial thing. If you are really interested
in the answer we could figure it out but it would take a bit of emailing
back and forth. Or you could try your luck with a copy of TAYLOR.
The info you gave is a start but not enough. For example, is the lower lip
lobed? Specifically into 5 distinct lobes or 2--4 (perhaps very obscure)
lobes. Also, are scales present on the peduncle? If you want to pursue this
further, maybe direct email would be the best route, as opposed to clogging
up the newsgroup.
