I just got a copy of "Carnivorous Plants, A Wisley Handbook"
by the Royal Horticultural Society (Cassell, 1988). It's only 64
pages, but full of great color photos and lots of basic info.

On pg 46, there is an intriguing picture of _Pinguicula alfredae_ which
shows long sinuous leaves almost like _Drosera filiformis_. The leaves
are nearly cylindrical, unlike the more lanceolate leaves of _P.
gypsicola_.

The caption says that the plant is "difficult to obtain". It is not carried
by any of the growers that I know of, nor is it mentioned in any of the
other CP reference books that I have. I also couldn't find any reference
to the name in Jan's CP list.

Does anyone know anything about this plant?
