Hydrogen peroxide can be used to sterilize organic substrates
such as peat moss, etc. Some orchid growers experimented with it. I used
it to sterilze peat moss to raise Disa uniflora seed. It works. (My disas
died for other reasons :-( ) I think regular drugstore peroxide solution
is strong enough to do the job. Just let it sit awhile for the peroxide to
decompose; otherwise it might attack the seed or tissue samples.

I'm not guaranteeing any results; but it did work for me.
