Subject: Climate of Australia

Here's a plug for the Australian Bureau of Meteorology. Their website is
at http://www.bom.gov.au

If you move through "Climate Information" and then "Climate Averages &
Extremes", you'll find a map of Australia divided into zones. Clicking on
one of the zones gets you to specific Weather Stations (some staffed, some
automatic).

By clicking on the site you get all sorts of information - eg max, min
temperatures for each month, the average 9am and 3pm temp and humidity,
average days of sun, etc, etc.

For example, check out the site at Albany, Western Australia, or Caloundra,
Queensland (being closest to Beerwah).

This should be of some assistance in determining the conditions of your
favourite Australian CP in the wild, but you need to factor in the
micro-climatic conditions (eg I would guess that the Albany Weather Office
is not located in the middle of a swamp).
