Jack,

I have been growing D. madagasgariensis for just over a year now. The
plants are unlike most other South African Drosera species in forming
stems during the growing season - I think D. glabripes and D. ramentacea
also form stems. At flowering time (now in the UK) the plants are about
10cm (4 inches) tall.

Last year I found the plants died back at the end of the growing season.
I'm not entirely certain if this was due to a problem with the plant or
if there is a natural winter dormancy - I suspect probably the latter.

While dormant I kept the pot just damp. The following spring new growth
appeared from the roots.

Hope this helps.
