Hi everybody!

It's been forever since I last wrote here. My CP collection
currently consists of:

3) Venus Bug Traps rescued from a Kroger super market, 3) VBTs that were
suppose to be Akai Ryus, but look more like Green Ryus, 2) S. flavas,

1) S. purpurea (Its buddy was eaten a certain insect that continues to
this day to munch on my other Sarracenias; which to this day continues to
elude me. It's like it knows when I'm watching for it),

3) Australian Pitchers,

2) Drosera pygmea I started with one, it gammifide and now I have a
wopping two.

1) Drosera 'something' that gammifide last winter and is now 31 Drosera
'something' and still counting. Four of the babies have reached full size
already. At this rate all 31 of them will be full size by the end of May.
When they gammify I'll quickly find myself with about a thousand of them
next spring. Anybody want some?,

2) 1 year old Nepenthes bicalcaratas Now that it's warm again they're
launching a new leaf every two weeks. One of them is even begining to
branch out.

1) Pingnigula 'something' I rescued from Kroger. This plant flowers
continuously throughout the growing season nonstop. It makes me wish I
had a friend for it, because self-pollination doesn't seem to work.

And last, but not least, I've planted 75 VBT seed I collected from the 3
VBTs I rescued from Kroger. Now if I can only keep the pillbugs away from
them when they germinate.

Now for a list of last season's CP disasters:

2 of my original 5 Australian Pitchers up and died. Green one day,
dried and brown the next.

I had 10 different species of Pygmea Drosera, most of which
just died on me. That was disapointing considering this unknown species
spreads like a disease. I wish the others did too. Maybe my D. pymeas
will get on the ball next spring.

Planted a whole packet of S.
leucophylla seed. Germination: about 50%
Death Toll: 100% (Due to pillbugs)

Planted a whole packet of D. capensis of 3 varieties.
Germination: about 30%
Death Toll: 100% (Due to pillbugs)

Planted a packet each of all 4 different varieties of Cobra Lilies.
Germination: about 70%
Death Toll: 100% (Due to... yup! You guessed it; PILLBUGS!)

The creapy little hassels! Never, have I ever, had a problem with
pillbugs until I started trying to germinate CP seed! I even elevated
future seed trays over moats and still they where able to find them! I'd
expect this kind of enginuity from ants, but NOT A PILLBUG! Everyday I
would inspect my seed trays for baby CPs and nothing. ABSOLUTLY NOTHING
until I achieve maximum germination. Then, to my horror, I find all my
little green freinds decapitated and pillbugs everywhere! Is this normal,
or am I experiencing an episode of the Twilight Zome? Hmmmmm?

That's about it.
